What is compression and why do we use it? compression is compacting file sizes. We used it to reduce files we are uploading (bandwidth).
What is the difference between lossy and lossless compression? Lossy is when information is lost and you can't change it back to the original and use it for JPGs. Lossless is the type of compression where no information is lost. We use lossless for things like GIFs.
